Birthday dinner at Renaissance!
Last night was the night I had a birthday celebration at the Renaissance Hotel. A buffet dinner sponsored by my mum (thank you, mummy!) at the Vogue Cafe for me and my friends. So here's an account of what went on yesterday.
Before the party (at home):
We were ready by 5.30 (the dinner starts at 7) but since my mum, my bro and I had to wait for my dad to come home before we could go to the venue, we had time to kill and what better way then by taking piccies since we were all dressed up anyway.
This is me, posing beside the door (geez, I'm short), in my Momoshiro, uh I mean, Mashimaro slippers. ^^;; (note: For those who don't get that lame joke of mine, Momoshiro = PoT character. Hehe~)

The journey to Renaissance:
When my dad came home, it was about 6. We left the house at about 6.15. Alas, it started to rain cats and dogs thus adding to the car-moving-at-less-than-5kmph-speed-jam. When I arrived it was already 7.30. The guests were coming in two groups (the guys and the girls). The guys came by train while the girls were supposed to come in Kok Weng's car.
At about 7.45, the guys arrived first, albeit a bit wet cos they had to walk from the train station to the hotel (so sorry guys!). Then, I had to look for them cos apparently Renaissance has about 3 lobbies (I don't know if there are more). And to add even more problem to that, apparently some royalty person was at Renaissance too so Wee Hoo, Cow, Andrew and Nicholas walked in with all their glory, red carpet and all to meet up with me.
At about 8.10, the girls group came. Again, I looked for them and again, we encountered problems. We had to cross one of the lobbies to get back to the cafe where the dinner was supposed to be and it so happened that the members of the royalty were walking in at that time. So, me and Ming Choi were standing at one side, and Sam and Hui Ying were standing at the other side while we waited for our PM (yes, it was our PM. What a coincidence. :S) walk past. Apparently the Agong was supposed to be around too, but I dunno about that.

Finally, it was time for dinner. Everyone sat, ate, chatted and just had fun.

After everything:
Finally, when everything was over, we all went home. It was about 11.30 when I arrived home and what's the first thing I do? Haha, open presents!
This is from the girls! Its so nice, I love it so much, thanks girls! I'll definitely be using this next semester. ^^ Though I must admit, the first thing I thought when I saw this bag was : 'Okay, my current school bag must really suck.' Lol~
And this is from the guys! Jigsaw puzzle of Naruto and PoT! Seriously, my first reaction : 'OMG, so embarassing!' I totally knew this was Cow's idea! Haha, and I love it! Thanks so much guys! Now I'll spend the first two days of my hols fixing this up!
What is this, you ask? Wrapping paper in which the guys wrapped my present up in. Call me weird, but I love this wrapping paper. I have a thing for pigs. So cute. Hehe.
And finally this card from Sam! Thanks girl. I loved our private 'gossip time' in the car too. Lol~ I will definitely make sure we don't stop hanging out just because there's no more evening classes. ^^
And with this, I'm officially 18 years old. Thanks to all of you who came for the dinner and sorry for the trouble it caused too. I had a great time and I hope you all did too. To Mich and Varun, wish you guys could have been here but I guess it couldn't be helped. Hope you both had fun wherever you were!
